Telehealth/Virtual Psychotherapy
Telehealth, also known as virtual healthcare, virtual psychotherapy, online therapy, or telemental healthcare, offers a modern way to engage in therapy. You can connect with your provider using devices you likely already have, such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, and computers, through video and audio.
At the Trauma & Anxiety Psychological Services Clinic, we prioritize your privacy and security. We use a HIPAA-compliant platform that provides secure virtual links for your appointments. These links, along with a client portal (available as an app or web version), make it easy and safe to access your psychotherapy sessions.
Benefits of Telehealth:
-
Research from the American Psychological Association (APA) and other studies consistently show that telemental healthcare is a highly effective way to engage in psychotherapy. You can access well-researched, evidence-based treatments (EBPs) for challenges like PTSD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and anger. This includes effective trauma-focused treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), all delivered effectively through virtual care.
-
Telehealth makes effective treatment and specialized trauma/PTSD care more accessible than ever. Connect with experts like Dr. Jeremy Saenz, Ph.D., from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Clinic services are available in any of the 40+ PSYPACT participating states across the United States, allowing you to continue treatment in a private space to focus on your goals and well-being.
-
Engaging in therapy is now more convenient and easier with telehealth. Utilize your smart device (smart phones and tablets), laptop, or computer to connect with your therapist without the need to travel to a clinic or office.
-
One of the significant advantages of virtual care is the reduction in travel time and related costs when going to a clinic or office. provider's office. This is especially beneficial considering that reaching in-person providers or clinics can often take an hour or more depending on traffic and geographic location. Telehealth helps you reclaim valuable time and resources.
-
At Trauma and Anxiety Psychological Services, your privacy and security are paramount. We use a HIPAA-compliant platform that provides secure virtual links and a client portal (available as an app or web-based) to facilitate your psychotherapy sessions.
PSYPACT
PSYPACT (Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact) allows licensed therapists in participating states with a PSYPACT authorization to provide teletherapy to clients in other PSYPACT states. This means that even if you are not in the same physical location as my clinic, if you are in a PSYPACT state, you can still see me virtually for your psychotherapy needs. This gives you more opportunity to participate in psychotherapy regardless of physical location (as long as it is within a PSYPACT state), and expands your access to specialized mental health care, delivered legally and ethically through my virtual services.
Expanded Access to Your Virtual Psychotherapy Practice via PSYPACT: PSYPACT authorization dramatically extends the reach of your online therapy services. As a PSYPACT-authorized psychologist, you can legally and ethically offer telepsychology to clients across multiple PSYPACT states, eliminating geographical limitations. This opens your virtual doors to individuals seeking specialized mental health care who previously couldn't access your practice due to location.
Enhanced Client Choice and Convenience with PSYPACT Teletherapy: For therapy seekers, PSYPACT means greater flexibility in finding the ideal online therapist/psychologist. Clients in participating states can easily connect to a virtual practice, benefiting from convenient teletherapy sessions from home. This expands access to high-quality, secure, and ethical mental health support, allowing clients to prioritize fit over proximity.
